Know Thyself

Self Knowledge is a distinctly odd sounding ambition. But we need not blame ourselves for our poor grasp of our own minds. A degree of emotional squeamishness is responsible for our failure to look innside. When difficult feelings threaten to emerge, the light of consciousness can be counted upon to take fright, and shine it's beam elsewhere. Although wee inhabit ourselves, we seldom manage to make sense of more than a fraction of who we are.
A beguiling association, the foot and the rose, reminnds us to commit some time to reach inside our minds and move us from dangerous vagueness to challenging but redeeming clarity. Source = The School of Life
