The Olive Tree
This is a hand-painted and enlarged copy of one of my earlier Tuscan landscapes, "The Second and Extremely Aesthetic Olive Tree," a practice I enjoyed because it gave me the opportunity to reformat my earlier palette knife version of the motif and create a giant landscape that would open up space in a sun-lit room. This was painted traditionally with brushes, in a style meant to imitate the mark-making of palette knife.
